About The Position
Specialty Medical Staffing is seeking a PRN Pharmacist for an inpatient behavioral health facility in Hopkinsville, KY. This is a great opportunity for a pharmacist looking for occasional weekday coverage with dates available from October through January and additional dates expected. The role involves reviewing and verifying medication orders, supporting medication distribution, stocking Omnicell dispensing systems, and working with pharmacy technicians. Training will be provided for the HCS order entry system and Omnicell automation.
Requirements
- Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
- Inpatient or behavioral health pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Availability for PRN weekday coverage
Responsibilities
- Review and verify medication orders
- Verify medication packaging
- Support medication distribution and daily pharmacy operations
- Stock and maintain Omnicell medication dispensing systems
- Work alongside pharmacy technician support to ensure efficient pharmacy operations
