PRN Paramedic
About The Position
Lumexa Imaging is seeking a PRN Paramedic to sit onsite to facilitate contrast injections at their Mid-Cities facility in North Richland Hills, TX. The Paramedic will be responsible for responding to adverse events such as contrast reactions or infiltrations, alerting the supervising radiologist via Teams audio/video for assessment and treatment instructions, and ensuring 911 is called when necessary. Prior to onsite coverage, the Paramedic must provide documentation of Certificate of Liability Insurance and current medical license, complete an MRI Safety Screening form, and review Emergency Response and MRI Safety training.
Requirements
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Previous experience as a certified EMT or Paramedic
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Facilitate contrast injections at the Mid-Cities facility.
- Use Teams audio/video functionality to alert the supervising radiologist in case of adverse events (contrast reaction, infiltration, or situations requiring radiologist intervention).
- Assist with patient assessment and follow radiologist's instructions for appropriate treatment, including medication administration.
- Ensure 911 has been called when necessary.
- Provide documentation of Certificate of Liability Insurance and current medical license.
- Complete MRI Safety Screening form.
- Review Emergency Response and MRI Safety training.
