PRN Paramedic
About The Position
Lumexa Imaging is seeking a PRN Paramedic to sit onsite at our Waco, TX location to facilitate contrast injections. In this role, you will be responsible for responding to adverse events such as contrast reactions or infiltrations, alerting the supervising radiologist via audio/video communication for assessment and treatment instructions, and ensuring 911 is called when necessary. Prior to onsite coverage, you must provide documentation of Certificate of Liability Insurance and current medical license, complete the MRI Safety Screening form, and review Emergency Response and MRI Safety training.
Requirements
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Previous experience as a certified EMT or Paramedic
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Facilitate contrast injections.
- Respond to adverse events (contrast reaction, infiltration, or situations requiring radiologist intervention).
- Use Teams audio/video functionality to alert the supervising radiologist during adverse events.
- Assist with patient assessment and follow treatment instructions from the radiologist.
- Ensure 911 is called when necessary.
- Provide documentation of Certificate of Liability Insurance and current medical license.
- Complete MRI Safety Screening form.
- Review Emergency Response and MRI Safety training.
