PRN Outpatient Therapist
About The Position
Gateway Rehabilitation Center (GRC) is seeking a passionate PRN Outpatient Therapist to join their team at their East Liberty, PA location. The role involves providing high-quality substance use treatment services, utilizing and promoting trauma-informed treatment through evidence-based practices. The therapist will participate in developing patient treatment plans and outcomes, provide direct therapeutic services (individual, group, and/or family therapy), and make ongoing assessments of patient progress. Responsibilities also include completing clinical documentation, maintaining relationships with referral sources, planning for continuing care, and managing insurance authorizations. The position requires achieving and maintaining a 50% productivity target, participating in supervision, adhering to HIPAA and relevant state regulations, and completing mandatory training. The role may also involve covering other programs as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 1 year experience in a health and human services field.
- Pass a PA Criminal Background Check
- Obtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances
- Pass Drug Screen
- 2-Step TB Test
- Obtain CPR/First Aid Certification

- Ability to conduct thorough assessments to diagnose substance use disorders and/or co-occurring conditions.

- Skilled at analyzing complex situations and making sound decisions regarding treatment and intervention strategies.
- Has the capacity to manage personal stress and maintain professionalism in challenging situations.

Responsibilities
- Utilizes and promotes trauma-informed treatment through the provision of evidence-based practices.
- Participates in developing the patient’s treatment plan and outcomes in cooperation with the treatment team.
- Provides direct therapeutic services consisting of individual, group, and/or family therapy dependent on the patient's needs.
- Makes ongoing assessments regarding the patient’s progress in treatment and revises the treatment plan according to patient needs.
- Completes clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Establishes and maintains contact and relationships with referral sources related to patient caseload.
- Plans for continuing care of patient and makes appropriate referrals.
- Monitors and completes insurance authorizations for patient caseload.
- Provides referrals for additional care or services when required.
- Achieves and maintains expected productivity of 50% on an ongoing basis.
- Participates in regular supervision with the manager and seeks out additional supervision as needed.
- Adheres to all applicable provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
- Adheres to the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS), Department of Public Welfare (DPW), and Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) regulations.
- Completes mandatory orientation and annual training programs; completes applicable attendance documentation.
- Provides coverage for other programs as needed.
- Performs other similar and related duties as necessary and/or as assigned.
