About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team. This role requires someone who is not only clinically proficient but also thrives in an outdoor, ranch-style environment. As an LVN at Roots Renewal Ranch, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients and staff, ensuring high-quality care, and collaborating with the clinical team to achieve strong client outcomes. The position works sixteen hour shifts as needed.

Requirements

• Active LVN license in the state of Texas.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in email communication and electronic medical records (EMR) usage.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Comfort working in an outdoor ranch setting, including alongside animals.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to support and guide staff and clients.
• Ability to adapt and maintain professionalism in a dynamic, high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adolescent clients in accordance with treatment plans and medical protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with the clinical team to support individualized client care and recovery goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Communicate professionally via email and other communication platforms.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in routine and emergent situations.
• Serve as a calm and steady presence for both staff and clients, especially during crises.
• Support the therapeutic benefits of the ranch environment, including outdoor activities and interactions with animals.
• Monitor clients’ health, administer medications, and assist with routine and emergent medical needs.
