PRN Nurse Extern / PRN Nursing Assistant

About The Position
This position offers an opportunity for individuals currently enrolled in nursing school or completing prerequisites for a nursing career to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment and enhance clinical skills. The role involves performing designated tasks in the provision of age-appropriate care for patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Requirements
- Must be a junior or senior level student currently enrolled in an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing or BSN program, or higher (for Nurse Extern)
- Recommendation of instructors and verification of competencies required (for Nurse Extern)
- Current GPA 2.5 or higher (for Nurse Extern)
- Must have positive attitude, good organizational, customer service and critical thinking skills (for Nurse Extern)
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) (for Nursing Assistant)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire (for Nursing Assistant)
Nice To Haves
- Certified Nursing License (CNA) preferred
- Six months experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred
