About The Position

This PRN MRI Technologist position provides coverage for PTO and sick leave at the Florence MRI & Imaging location. The role involves performing MRI scans efficiently while ensuring patient safety and quality imaging. Responsibilities include gathering and reviewing patient data, preparing patients for scans, administering contrast, monitoring patient condition, reviewing images for diagnostic quality, documenting data, maintaining workflow, ensuring equipment readiness, and participating in quality assurance and continuing education.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
ARRT registered with advanced registry in MRI
Must complete required CEU’s in a timely manner to ensure Certification remains active
Active state licensure, where applicable
CPR Certification is required
0+ years of experience as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, required
IV skills required
Knowledge of MRI procedures and standards
Demonstrate adequate knowledge of anatomy
Skill in operation of MRI equipment
Customer service background and focus

Nice To Haves

2+ years of experience as an MRI Technologist, preferred

Responsibilities

Perform MRI scans efficiently while ensuring patient safety and quality imaging
Gather and review patient data to determine the optimal scanning approach
Screen and prepare patients, including positioning and administering contrast as needed
Monitor patient condition throughout the procedure and adjust as necessary
Review images for diagnostic quality and determine if additional scans are needed
Accurately document and archive patient and imaging data
Maintain an efficient workflow and high standards of patient care and service
Ensure equipment readiness, safety compliance, and regulatory adherence
Participate in quality assurance, training, and continuing education
