This PRN float RN position is part of the Employer Solutions/Events - Events department, specifically within the GCMG WCCS team. The role is part-time and not benefits-eligible. The RN will engage in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. They will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care. The position involves monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, and collaborating with the care team to influence care outcomes. A strong emphasis is placed on upholding a culture of safety, continuously evaluating outcomes, and taking necessary actions. The role may include administering medications and treatments, demonstrating effective communication, and pursuing professional development. Adherence to the ANA Code of Ethics and ethical decision-making is expected, along with respecting interdisciplinary roles and contributing to integrated, unbiased patient care. Appropriate delegation to other nursing staff is also a key responsibility. The RN will maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation and may be required to float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area to meet patient care needs. The position requires the ability to provide age-appropriate care, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development over the life span and assessing/interpreting patient status based on age-specific needs.
