About The Position

Wellstar Medical Group (WMG) is seeking a PRN Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for their Get Well @ Work clinic. This clinic is dedicated to caring for Wellstar employees during standard business hours and is conveniently located within the Wellstar Urgent Care clinic across from the Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center campus. The clinic provides same-day care for minor acute illnesses and conditions affecting Wellstar team members. The provider will evaluate and treat a variety of minor acute conditions in an outpatient setting, including triplex testing for flu, COVID-19, and strep; acute upper respiratory infections and colds; urinary tract infections; headaches; muscle strains; nausea and dizziness; viral infections; and gastroenteritis, among other minor acute illnesses. This clinic does not provide prescription medication refills or chronic medication management, annual health screenings, pre-employment screenings, Worker’s Compensation services, or hypertension management.

Requirements

Active or eligible for a Georgia medical license.
1–2 years of experience in urgent care or emergency medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat a variety of minor acute conditions in an outpatient setting.
Perform triplex testing for flu, COVID-19, and strep.
Treat acute upper respiratory infections and colds.
Treat urinary tract infections.
Treat headaches.
Treat muscle strains.
Treat nausea and dizziness.
Treat viral infections.
Treat gastroenteritis.
Provide care for other minor acute illnesses.
