About The Position

RTW Investments is seeking a Private Wealth Analyst / Internal Sales Specialist whose primary responsibilities would be building and managing advisor relationships across wirehouses, private banks, and RIA networks. This is a proactive, inside sales role for a self-starter who owns their coverage universe end-to-end reaching out to advisors ahead of roadshows, managing the pipeline, logging every interaction, and following up with urgency and precision. Some familiarity with alternative investments is helpful; the ability to build trust with busy financial advisors and operate with high organizational discipline is essential. This role is a unique opportunity to help shape RTW’s private wealth distribution channel from the ground up.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Approximately 2–4 years of experience in financial services, with exposure to the wealth management or alternatives distribution ecosystem (wirehouse, prime brokerage, hedge fund IR, or similar)
  • Familiarity with alternative investments, hedge fund structures, and the broader wealth management industry; deep investment experience is not required, but intellectual curiosity about the strategies being sold is expected
  • The ability to build trust and long-term partnerships with busy wealth advisors and private bankers
  • Entrepreneurial and self-directed, high energy, meticulous attention to detail, follow-through, organizational discipline, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work from our New York City office 4-5 days per week

Responsibilities

  • Drive Capital Raising: Proactively reach out to wealth managers, private bankers, and financial advisors via email, telephone, and virtual meetings to originate new business and pitch the firm’s hedge fund strategies, warm the market ahead of external sales visits, and progress relationships toward allocation
  • Partner with External Sales: Collaborate directly with external sales specialists to develop territory business plans, prioritize prospective accounts, and schedule high-impact face-to-face or virtual meetings
  • Pipeline Management: Track and progress the sales cycle from initial cold/warm outreach to close, effectively utilizing a CRM system (e.g., Altvia) to log interactions, follow-ups, and fund allocations
