About The Position

The YMCA of Northern Colorado is looking for Private Swim Instructors at the YMCA. The salary range is $17.00-$22.00 per hour based on experience. In addition, we offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff who test as fluent in Spanish and English. Requirements

• Minimum 16 years of age
• Staff are expected to become certified or supply documentation of current certification in CPR and First Aid (these courses can be completed through the YMCA)
• Staff will be expected to work well on a team, communicate well with youth, parents, and colleagues, and be committed to high-quality programming

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Instructs swimming lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines
• Prepare lesson plans accordingly
• Builds effective, authentic relationships with students and parents
• Conveys information on aquatics programs and schedules and as appropriate refers students and parents to other programs
• Maintains records as required (i.e. attendance, progress reports, etc.)
• Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures
• Completes related reports as necessary
• Organizes and puts away needed class equipment
• Reports damaged equipment
• Attends all staff meetings and in-service training
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
