About The Position

Musicologie is seeking a Private Strings Teacher for our Glastonbury location, opening in 2026. This role is for an expert musician who is passionate about introducing people of all ages to music. The ideal candidate is friendly, warm, a great communicator, and enthusiastic about helping students overcome challenges. Musicologie values the dedication musicians have to their craft and recognizes the importance of the student-teacher relationship. Requirements

• Be an excellent musician.
• Be excited to help students of all ages and abilities become passionate, proficient musicians.
• Be an expert communicator in person and by email.
• Be extremely organized.
• Be self-motivated.
• Be curious and inspired to learn new things.
• Be able to work evening hours.
• Possess a bachelor’s degree in your instrument, or equivalent experience.
• Have teaching experience on your instrument.
• Have experience working with kids and families.

Responsibilities

• Work with students of all ages and abilities to identify their goals and progress through relevant curriculum.
• Serve as a friendly guide on students' musical journeys.
• Encourage community involvement through performances and group classes.
• Dedicate yourself to learning Musicologie's philosophy of education, curriculum, and processes.
• Commit to delivering an outstanding lesson experience to every family and student.
• Collaborate with other Musicologie teachers and managers to enhance collective capabilities.
