About The Position
Musicologie Prosper is seeking an accomplished and energetic strings teacher to provide private music lessons. The role involves teaching beginner to advanced violin and viola, with cello and double bass expertise being a significant advantage. Musicologie Prosper is a new, rapidly growing studio offering in-person music lessons, with online lessons considered only as an exception. The ideal candidate is an expert musician who enjoys introducing music to people of all ages, possesses strong communication skills, and is enthusiastic about helping students overcome challenges. Musicologie fosters a community-focused environment for musicians and music lovers, dedicated to delivering delightful music lessons through the Musicologie Method (emphasizing a safe environment and learning through play), a philosophy that everyone deserves a great teacher, comprehensive training and clear career progression, innovative programs and technology, and a collaborative community of passionate teachers.
Requirements
- Excellent musician.
- Excited to help students of all ages and abilities become passionate, proficient musicians.
- Expert communicator in person and by email.
- Extremely organized.
- Self-motivated.
- Curious and inspired to learn new things.
- Able to work evening and/or weekend hours.
- A bachelor’s degree in your instrument, or equivalent experience.
- Teaching experience on your instrument.
- Experience working with kids and families.
Nice To Haves
- Cello and double bass expertise and teaching experience.
- Early childhood experience (under 5 yrs old).
Responsibilities
- Teach private music lessons to students of all ages and abilities on violin, viola, cello, and double bass.
- Help students identify their musical goals and progress through curriculum related to those goals.
- Encourage community involvement through performances and group classes.
- Dedicate yourself wholeheartedly to learning Musicologie's philosophy of education, curriculum, and processes.
- Deliver an outstanding lesson experience to every family and student.
- Collaborate with other Musicologie teachers and managers to enhance collective capabilities.
