About The Position

Musicologie Austin is seeking violin teachers for its growing studio, which opened in November 2025. The ideal candidate is an expert musician who enjoys introducing people of all ages to music, plays the violin, and ideally other string instruments like viola, cello, and/or bass. The role requires a friendly, warm, and communicative individual who is enthusiastic about helping students overcome challenges. Musicologie values its teachers' expertise and the student-teacher relationship, fostering a community of musicians dedicated to providing delightful music lessons through the Musicologie Method (education through play in a safe environment), a philosophy that everyone deserves a great teacher, comprehensive training and development opportunities, innovative programs and technology, and a collaborative teaching community.

Requirements

An excellent musician.
Excited to help students of all ages and abilities become passionate, proficient musicians.
An expert communicator in person and by email.
Extremely organized.
Self-motivated.
Curious and inspired to learn new things.
Able to work evening and/or weekend hours.
A bachelor’s degree in your instrument, or equivalent experience.
Teaching experience on your instrument.
Experience working with kids and families.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

Ideally play viola, cello, and/or bass.
