Private Lacrosse Coach
About The Position
STXZ is hiring experienced lacrosse coaches to join its platform, which is described as the nation's #1 private lacrosse training marketplace. Coaches operate as 1099 independent contractors, running their own independent coaching businesses. STXZ connects coaches with local clients, handles administrative work such as payment processing, billing, refunds, and disputes, and provides platform-level liability coverage after onboarding and a small insurance fee. Coaches have full control over their schedule, clients (accepting or declining offers without penalty), coaching methods, territory, and business investments. The platform emphasizes that STXZ does not employ, supervise, manage, or control trainers or their training sessions, and coaches are responsible for their own coaching methods, business expenses, taxes, scheduling, and professional conduct.
Requirements
- Consistent experience coaching lacrosse or competitive playing experience
- Reliable transportation to training locations in your area
- Willingness to complete a background check before receiving full client details
- Your own coaching equipment (cones, balls, training aids)
- Strong communication with parents, players, and the STXZ team
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. as a 1099 independent contractor
- Professionalism and confidence working independently with families and youth athletes
Responsibilities
- Operate as a 1099 independent contractor and business owner
- Review and decide whether to accept Client Offers with lesson details
- Contact the client directly within 24 hours of accepting an offer
- Agree on schedule and location with the client (e.g., their home, a local field, a park)
- Run the session using your professional judgment for drills, pacing, and structure
- Submit a quick lesson briefing on the platform after each session
- Bring your own coaching equipment, including cones, balls, and training aids
- Maintain strong communication with parents, players, and the STXZ team
- Demonstrate professionalism and confidence when working independently with families and youth athletes
