About The Position

Pinnacle Fund Services (“Pinnacle”) is a privately-owned company headquartered in Vancouver that provides high-quality accounting and administrative services to hedge funds, private equity funds, and other investment vehicles in Canada, the United States and internationally. To deliver services to our growing client base, Pinnacle is seeking candidates for a Senior Manager to join our Private Equity Team. Reporting directly to the AVP of Private Equity, the Senior Manager is responsible for leading a team of managers across Pinnacle Canada and Pinnacle Europe. In this role, you will partner closely with Managers to ensure teams consistently deliver high-quality service to Pinnacle’s clients, including fund accounting, financial reporting, and monthly net asset valuations of fund portfolios. The Senior Manager also plays a key role in overseeing and coordinating strategic and operational initiatives while collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. Requirements

  • Prior experience in the fund industry of at least 5 years is required
  • Prior experience in a managing role of at least 4 years managing client relationships, deliverables and communication
  • In-depth knowledge of closed ended funds required
  • Accounting designation required
  • Strong knowledge of accounting concepts
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple demands, competing priorities, and constant change
  • Ability to allocate time effectively and manage tight deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with PFS-Paxus is desired, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the principal Client Relationship Manager for clients, ensuring client are met and satisfaction is maintained
  • Lead client and fund onboarding efforts, managing resources and deadlines for smooth integration
  • Facilitate check-ins with clients, promote relevant services, and respond promptly to client requests
  • Analyze client and operational metrics, recommending improvements to enhance service delivery
  • Conduct thorough reviews of financial reporting packages and statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Oversee teams to ensure Pinnacle standards for accuracy, efficiency, and timely financial reporting are consistently met
  • Lead or contribute to strategic projects aligned with company growth
  • Monitor financial metrics such as budget versus actuals to ensure effective resource allocation and operational efficiency
  • Plan team resources and workload allocations in line with business demands, proactively developing skills and infrastructure for high performance
  • Provide coaching, training, and feedback to support employee growth and engagement
  • Work with teams to set performance goals, conduct quarterly and annual performance appraisals in line with Pinnacle’s performance management process
  • Participate in recruitment and talent development initiatives to build effective teams
