About The Position

A highly respected national law firm is seeking a Private Equity Senior Associate Attorney to join its Dallas office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, strategic investors, and other market participants in sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of private equity, mergers & acquisitions, or corporate transactional experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
  • Significant experience representing private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and strategic investors in complex transactions
  • Experience handling acquisitions, dispositions, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, growth equity investments, and other private equity transactions
  • Experience drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, equity investment documents, operating agreements, and related transaction documentation
  • Experience leading transaction teams, managing deal processes, and coordinating with clients and outside advisors
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions and maintain significant client contact
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
  • Texas bar admission required or ability to become admitted

  • Experience advising clients on general corporate governance matters is preferred
