About The Position

This Associate role is on the deal team of a lower middle-market private equity firm located just outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The firm invests in a variety of sectors, including medical device manufacturing, IT and data management, human capital management, and knowledge and learning. The Associate supports senior investment professionals across investment sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management. The role also contributes to investor relations and fundraising through financial reporting and valuation estimates for current and potential investors.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or financial consulting.
• Undergraduate degree required.
• Financial tools required for private equity.
• Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment, work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet stringent deadlines while maintaining high-quality work standards.
• Team-oriented and self-starting approach.
• Strong analytical and verbal and written communication skills.
• Outstanding organizational abilities and high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create financial models to analyze cash flows, investment returns, and enterprise values for new investment opportunities and existing portfolio companies.
• Prepare investment committee memos and other investment approval materials.
• Research industry market size, growth prospects, demand drivers, and key competitors.
• Facilitate diligence with third-party partners, including senior lenders, accountants, attorneys, IT consultants, and strategy consultants.
• Assist with ongoing portfolio company monitoring and ad hoc strategic projects.
• Compile financial reports and valuation estimates of current portfolio companies for current and potential investors.
