About The Position

The Associate will join a lower middle-market private equity firm in their Boston, MA office. Our client focuses on technology, business services, consumer services, healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, investing in businesses with EBITDA of at least $1M and are currently investing out of Fund VII. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established firm which prides itself on its collaborative, dynamic culture and close partnerships with founder-owned businesses. Requirements

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, leveraged finance or management consulting, with lower middle-market experience a plus.
Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment, work independently, prioritize work effectively, and meet stringent deadlines while maintaining high quality of work standards.

Responsibilities

Financial analysis – Create financial models to analyze cash flows, investment returns, and enterprise values for new investment opportunities and existing portfolio companies
Investment approval materials – Prepare memos and other approval materials for the Investment Committee
Industry research – Conduct research on market size, growth prospects, demand drivers, key competitors, etc.
Third party diligence – Facilitate diligence activities with third-party partners (e.g., senior lenders, accountants, attorneys, IT consultants, strategy consultants)
Portfolio management – Assist with ongoing monitoring and ad hoc strategic projects for portfolio companies
