The Private Equity Accountant II performs more complex accounting functions, including financial analysis, reporting, and compliance tasks. This role requires independent judgment and provides support for process improvements and internal controls. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience required.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS and financial regulations.
  • Private Equity industry knowledge.
  • Strong PC and Microsoft Office skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to deal with employees/clients professionally.
  • Strong team player and a self-starter in a fast-paced work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Private Equity industry software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and analyzes financial statements and related reports.
  • Conducts account reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Assists with forecasting and cost analysis.
  • Assists with maintaining fund credit facilities.
  • Manages and takes action on the inflow of information and documents from fund investments as necessary, including but not limited to: Capital call notices; Capital distribution notices; Partners capital statements.
  • Calculates management fees.
  • Ensures compliance with tax regulations and company policies.
  • Prepares month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reports.
  • Supports internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Develops and implements process improvements for efficiency.
  • Mentors and guides more junior accountants as needed.
  • Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.
