About The Position

Visiting Angels of Fort Worth is hiring a Private Duty/Home Care Aide to assist senior adults in their homes throughout the local area, including Crowley, Primrose, Joshua, Burleson, and Cleburne. This role offers flexibility, growth opportunities, and the chance to make a significant difference in clients' lives. As a Private Duty/Home Care Aide, you will help clients maintain their independence and dignity while recovering at home. Responsibilities vary by client but generally involve personal care, light housekeeping, medication reminders, meal preparation, and assisting with mobility. A critical aspect of the role is responding to medical emergencies and reporting any health changes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent time-management skills
• Reliable transportation to client visits
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
• Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response
• A heart for vulnerable people seeking meaningful companionship
• Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards

Responsibilities

• Helping clients handle personal care and hygiene
• Managing light housekeeping
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right times
• Helping clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them)
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients
• Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation
• Acting quickly in the case of medical emergencies
• Reporting any health changes or unusual circumstances
