Private Duty CNA HHA Caregiver
About The Position
Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring dependable caregivers for one on one care in client homes throughout Jacksonville, Duval County, and nearby areas. You can focus on one client at a time and help that person stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home. This role is ideal for a CNA or HHA who enjoys caring for people but prefers not to be responsible for a large number of patients. We are a local, family-owned team that is involved in the agency every day and believes good caregivers deserve good support. We work hard to communicate clearly, match caregivers with the right clients, and treat our caregivers with respect, ensuring you are not just another name on a schedule.
Requirements
- Active Florida CNA license or HHA certificate
- Level Two Background Screening
- Recent TB screening
- Classroom CPR certification
- HIV AIDS training
- Alzheimers and Related Dementias training
- Assistance with Self Administration of Medication training
- Reliable transportation to client homes
- Experience caring for seniors or adults who need personal care
Nice To Haves
- Comfort around pets is preferred because some clients have pets in their homes.
Responsibilities
- Bathing dressing grooming and toileting
- Transfers and help with walking
- Meal preparation
- Medication reminders
- Companionship and conversation
- Light housekeeping for the client
- Errands or appointments when included in the care plan
- Reporting changes or concerns to the office
