About The Position
Amaray Care is seeking a Caregiver to provide physical care and emotional support to clients who are unable to care for themselves due to illness, injury, surgery, or disability. The role requires the ability to care for clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect, while encouraging and remaining empathetic at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate
- Must be able to complete and pass a Criminal Background check
- TB Test/PPD or X-ray within the past year (X-ray 5 years)
- Physical endurance to transfer, re-position, and lift a client
- Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for (sometimes) a long period
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma
- Experience using a motorized wheelchair, and other adaptive equipment
Responsibilities
- Provide light housekeeping
- Run errands
- Provide transportation if needed
- Accompany clients to appointments
- Assist with medications
- Prepare meals
- Purchase food
- Provide personal assistance with general living needs, including toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming
- Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging, and assisting an individual
