About The Position
Griswold Home Care is seeking compassionate and dependable caregivers to provide non-medical home care services to seniors. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety and well-being, and providing companionship. The position offers flexible hours and opportunities to work day shifts, helping seniors live independently in their homes.
Requirements
- Day Shift
- Be at least 18 years of age
- At least 2+ years of related caregiving experience.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Personal vehicle with current auto insurance
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to lift 50 LBS
Responsibilities
- Transferring and positioning of the client
- Observing and reporting changes in physical and mental conditions
- Skin care - assist in applying over the counter lotions to prevent dry skin
- Clean and maintain medical equipment - power wheelchair, hospital bed, shower chair, and Hoyer lift
- Accompaniment of client when out of home to grocery, doctors appointment, or pharmacy errands.
- Prep/clean after a meal
- Basic home chores (sweeping, mopping, dusting, laundry)
- Personal care assistance (toileting - incontinence)
- Bathing - perform a skilled transfer into shower using transfers
- Dressings
