About The Position
BrightStar Care of Sterling Heights is seeking dedicated caregivers to provide one-on-one support for families in a private home environment. This role focuses on providing personalized housekeeping, companionship, and assistance with daily living activities to clients.
Requirements
- 2 years of professional caregiver experience
- CPR certification (required)
- TB test negative (required)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Ability to bend, kneel, lift up to 25 lbs, and stand for extended periods.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, of the client’s private bedroom, bathroom, and living area.
- Provide friendly interaction, assist with light meal setup/dishes, and help the resident stay organized.
- Keep the resident’s family updated on the cleanliness, comfort, and supply levels of the living space.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Assist with medication reminders and light housekeeping.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Follow care plans and report any changes in condition.
