Private Credit Analyst
About The Position
9fin is seeking a Private Credit Analyst to collect and analyze private credit and BDC data within an opaque market. The role involves working with the data operations team in New York and Belfast, as well as engineering and product teams, to ensure data entry and quality control for a valuable private credit and BDC dataset. The analyst will process large and complex datasets to identify trends, insights, and stories, distinguishing important information from noise. Collaboration with journalists and analysts to identify data trends and contribute to regular insight reports is also a key part of the role.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in banking, asset management, ratings, data, or analysis within credit markets, with a preference for experience in private credit.
- Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools.
- Ability to derive insights from large and detailed datasets in capital markets.
- Ability to understand nuance and hone in on important details without losing sight of the bigger picture.

- Able to build relationships with key market participants and get them comfortable with sharing their data.
