About The Position

At Chase, the Private Client Banker role focuses on creating memorable experiences for clients and employees by delivering banking solutions and financial technology with friendly service. This role involves managing the complete banking relationships of a select group of Chase’s affluent clients, as well as other branch clients, using a proactive approach to grow their balances. Private Client Bankers are also responsible for acquiring new clients through referrals and developing internal and external sources. Requirements

  • Demonstrated success using a value-added, relationship-oriented approach to acquire and deepen client relationships.
  • 1+ year Branch Banking Banker or equivalent experience in Financial Services sales experience with proven success in acquiring new clients, deepening relationships, and revenue generation.
  • Ability to create memorable experiences for our clients – elevate the client experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone, with proven ability to tailor features and benefits of products and services to clients with differing needs.
  • Ability to resolve client issues quickly and effectively with attention to detail – providing consistent client experience.
  • Operate within established risk parameters/tolerances and meet internal/external risk and compliance obligations, including completion of required training.
  • High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
  • The Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, state registration (including 63 if required), and Life licenses are minimum requirements. All unlicensed applicants must obtain their licenses though JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire, study materials and support provided.
  • Ability to work branch hours including weekends and some evenings.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
  • Subject to the Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators, including JPMC's review of criminal conviction history, credit report, information available through NMLS, and any other information relevant to a determination by JPMC that you demonstrate financial responsibility, good character, and general fitness for the position.
  • No felony conviction within the last seven years.
  • Requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Upon active employment, you will be required to either register on NMLS, or to update your existing registration as necessary to grant access to and reflect your employment with JPMorganChase.
  • Subject to Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act, including JPMorganChase’s review of criminal conviction history, including pretrial diversions or program entries.

  • Actively manage assigned clients and their banking relationships through an advice-based approach to recommend the best products and services for their financial needs.

  • Educate and connect clients to technology solutions such as leveraging the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs to help them with their banking needs whenever, wherever, and however they want.
  • Learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to effectively consult with clients about banking solutions, as well as collaborate with and connect them to our team of experts to help with specialized financial needs.
  • Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
