About The Position
As a Private Client Banker in Branch Banking, you are the main point of contact for a select group of Chase’s affluent clients as well as other customers in the branch. You manage their complete banking relationship across the company, using a proactive and disciplined approach to generate growth in their balances. You help acquire new clients by actively soliciting referrals and developing internal and external sources. The role involves sharing the value of Chase Private Client, managing banking relationships through advice tailored to clients’ needs, and connecting customers with specialists for more specialized financial needs. You also help clients use self-service options to access their accounts 24/7 and adhere to applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements. This position is subject to Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. Employment is contingent on JPMC’s review of relevant background and financial information, and continued employment depends on compliance with applicable requirements. The position also requires NMLS registration under the SAFE Act, including successful registration immediately after starting and timely completion of annual renewal and required updates.
Requirements
- Demonstrated success using a value-added, relationship-oriented approach to acquire and deepen client relationships.
- At least 1 year of Branch Banking Banker or equivalent financial services experience, with verifiable success in new client acquisition, cultivating and maintaining customer relationships, and revenue generation.
- If not already registered, pass the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6/7, required state registration (including Series 63 or 66 if required), and Life licenses, or successfully complete them within 180 days of starting the role.
- Comply with Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act requirements for Loan Originators.
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
- Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
- Register with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS), or update an existing registration as necessary, immediately after starting; complete annual renewal and required updates on time.
- Meet SAFE Act requirements to remain employed in the position.
