About The Position

Janney Montgomery Scott is seeking a part-time Private Client Associate to join our Spartanburg office. This position will serve an important front-of-house role for the branch and will often be the first person our clients and guests interact with when calling or visiting the office. We are looking for someone who is professional, welcoming, organized, and genuinely enjoys helping people. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the reception area and day-to-day administrative needs of the office while also providing general support to our Financial Advisors and Private Client Associates. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in gaining exposure to the wealth management industry while working in a professional, client-focused environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, reception, banking, financial services, or a professional office environment preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and other common office applications
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to work effectively in a professional, client-focused environment
  • High ethical standards

Responsibilities

  • Create an Exceptional First Impression: Greet clients and visitors and assist them upon arrival, answer and appropriately route incoming telephone calls, coordinate client appointments and conference room schedules, help prepare meeting rooms and client-facing areas, maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming reception area, assist clients with general questions and connect them with the appropriate Financial Advisor or team member.
  • Support the Daily Operations of the Branch: Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries, assist with outgoing mail, overnight packages, and general correspondence, scan, organize, and maintain documents in accordance with firm procedures, assist with branch supplies and general office organization, help coordinate client events, meetings, and branch activities, provide general administrative support to Financial Advisors and Private Client Associates, assist with basic client service requests and follow-up items within the responsibilities of an unregistered employee, work collaboratively with other branch staff to ensure client needs are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Learn the Wealth Management Business: Janney will support the employee in preparing for and obtaining the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) examination.
