About The Position

This role is responsible for daily account servicing and client advisement needs, including handling inquiries, processing downloads, maintaining accurate account information, claims advising, and managing endorsements and evidence of insurance. The Private Client Advisor will cultivate strong relationships with clients and insurance carriers through professional communication. A key responsibility is managing the renewal process for an assigned book of business, which involves preparing summaries, quoting, negotiating terms, preparing proposals, binding coverage, and issuing invoices. The position also involves participating in cross-selling opportunities and following up on accounts receivable. Continuous learning through education classes and individual study is expected to expand technical coverage knowledge.

Requirements

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze insurance quotes and make recommendations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Math skills required, involving familiarity with ratios, percentages, discounts, and commissions.
  • Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Office products.
  • 2+ years of similar or related experience.
  • Property and Casualty license will be required for state of business and must fulfill continuing education requirement to retain license.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and demonstrates IMA Select’s core values.
  • Responsibility for daily account servicing and client advisement needs including but not limited to handling client and insurance company inquiries, processing daily carrier downloads, obtaining daily notifications and alerts from carrier websites, maintaining accurate account information in agency management system, claims advising, endorsements, evidence of insurance, auto ID cards, etc.
  • Cultivates and maintains excellent communication and relationships with clients and insurance carriers.
  • Develops remarketing strategy in accordance with client servicing standards and market changes.
  • Responsibility for managing renewal process on assigned book of business including preparation of pre-renewal summary, online quoting via carrier rating platforms and comparative rater, reviewing quotes and negotiating terms and premiums, preparing final quotes and proposals for delivery to client, binding coverage, and issuing renewal invoices, etc.
  • Participates in conference calls and/or periodic in-person client meetings to ensure assets are adequately protected.
  • Participates in cross-selling new or adding additional lines of coverage or services on existing accounts.
  • Responsibility for following up on accounts receivable items in accordance with IMA Accounts Receivable Policy.
  • Attends education classes in combination with individual study programs to expand technical coverage knowledge.
