About The Position

As a Private Banker in J.P. Morgan’s U.S. Private Bank, you advise families on building, preserving, and managing their wealth. You apply knowledge of investments, financial planning, credit, and banking to advise clients on their balance sheets and generate new client acquisition. You work with a local team and draw on the firm’s institutional platform, resources, specialists, and intellectual capital to help clients achieve their goals.

Requirements

• Six or more years of work experience in Private Banking or Financial Services.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Series 7, 66, and Insurance licenses required; unlicensed candidates are considered but must obtain licenses within 90 days of the start date.
• Proven sales success and strong business acumen.
• Strong community presence with an established network.
• Experience or demonstrated understanding of investments, wealth planning, credit, and banking concepts.
• Focus on the client experience and tireless advocacy on clients’ behalf.

Nice To Haves

• MBA, JD, CFA, or CFP preferred.
• Proactive approach, initiative, and critical thinking to solve problems.
• Dynamic and credible professional with clear communication and exceptional presentation skills.
• Strong organizational skills and a disciplined, organized approach to business.
• Experience with and in-depth knowledge of equity and fixed-income markets and alternative investments, including hedge funds, private equity, and real estate.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain client relationships by earning trust, understanding client needs, providing targeted advice, developing thoughtful solutions, and delivering an exceptional client experience.
• Generate business results and acquire new assets from existing clients and through new client acquisition.
• Advise clients on their overall balance sheet, including asset allocation, investment management, wealth planning, credit, and banking needs.
• Partner with internal specialists to provide interdisciplinary expertise to clients when needed.
• Connect clients across all lines of business of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.
• Ensure proposed solutions fulfill clients’ needs and objectives in the short, medium, and long term through a holistic, goals-based planning approach.
• Adhere to risk and control policies, regulatory guidelines, and security measures.
