About The Position

The Relationship Banking Manager leads a high-touch, member-centric team dedicated to delivering personalized financial services to select members—typically individuals with higher net worth, complex financial needs, or long-standing relationships with the credit union. This role ensures exceptional member experience, drives growth through strategic relationship management, and aligns team performance with organizational goals, compliance standards, and strategic initiatives such as deposit growth for General Electric Credit Union.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 5-7 years of private banking, commercial, or wealth management exposure
  • 3-5 years in a leadership role within the financial industry
  • Minium of 3 years’ experience in relationship and portfolio management expertise
  • Experience in coaching and developing a team to drive consistent sales results
  • Proven track record of managing and growing high-net-worth member relationships
  • Highly effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to navigate complex financial scenarios and deliver tailored solutions
  • Well-organized and effective at time management

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or accounting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, coach, and develop Relationship Banking Specialists to achieve performance metrics and behavioral expectations
  • Foster a culture of consultative selling, compliance, and member-first service.
  • Monitor team performance and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales and service goals
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex member needs and issues
  • Oversee the maintenance and growth of the team’s Book of Business through proactive relationship management
  • Ensure personalized, seamless service delivery across all member touchpoints.
  • Drive achievement of sales goals for deposits, loans, credit cards, and referrals (Wealth Management, Business Banking, Mortgage)
  • Promote credit union products and services through consultative conversations
  • Identify opportunities to deepen member relationships and enhance loyalty
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Partner with internal departments for seamless service delivery.
