About The Position

Intealth is seeking a Privacy & Compliance Law Clerk to support its Legal Department's privacy, compliance, and risk management initiatives. This role is ideal for a current law student interested in gaining practical, in-house legal experience. The position involves conducting legal research, assisting with privacy compliance reviews, assessing US and international privacy requirements, supporting data-flow mapping, and identifying potential legal and regulatory risks. The successful candidate will be a strong researcher and writer, capable of analyzing complex regulatory information, managing multiple assignments, and handling confidential information with discretion.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a second year (2L) or third year (3L) student in an ABA-accredited Juris Doctor program.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in privacy or data protection through coursework, internships, employment, or extracurricular activities.
  • Familiarity with privacy law fundamentals and general awareness of international data protection frameworks.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to compare regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ability to independently manage competing priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and organizing data-driven legal research.
  • Sound judgment when handling confidential, sensitive, and legally privileged information.

Nice To Haves

  • IAPP certification, such as CIPP/US, CIPP/E, etc.
  • CIPM, CIPT, and/or privacy-related coursework

Responsibilities

  • Support reviews of Intealth’s privacy practices across major countries where applicants reside.
  • Research and confirm minimum data protection requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Assist with mapping how personal data moves through Intealth’s systems and third-party vendors.
  • Identify and communicate potential privacy, compliance, or data-management risks.
  • Conduct legal research on U.S. and international privacy and data protection laws, including state privacy statutes and the GDPR.
  • Prepare clear and concise legal memoranda, summaries, and other written materials.
  • Support additional legal, compliance, and risk management projects as assigned.
