Koniag Professional Services, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Privacy Analyst with a Secret security clearance to support KPS and our government customer in Arlington, VA. The Privacy Analyst will work with OIG staff and system owners to safeguard privacy and promote transparency through compliance, advice, training, and collaboration. This role involves conducting privacy risk assessments throughout the lifecycle of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) at the OIG, identifying and evaluating processes for handling PII to mitigate potential risks, and addressing gaps in privacy policies and procedures. The analyst will also assist with ensuring compliance with the E-Government Act of 2002 and the Privacy Act of 1974 by analyzing privacy impact assessments (PIAs) of OIG IT systems and identifying systems of records (SOR). Support is also provided for research, assessments, and proposing recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Department’s privacy protection business processes. The position requires supporting the implementation of policies, plans, and procedures for the Department’s compliance with various privacy-related mandates and offering expert consultative advice on initiatives such as NIST 800-53 rev 5 and OMB Circular A-130. The role includes serving as a consultant on preparing and presenting various deliverables.
