About The Position

This role will predominately be working onsite at our Rosedale Office Building in Fort Worth, TX. There will be flexibility to work remotely one (1) day per week, between Tuesday-Thursday. The Privacy Analyst reports directly to the Privacy Manager and will be responsible for assisting with ensuring a reasonable and appropriate level of compliance is met in regard to the HIPAA Privacy Rule and other Federal and State laws, rules, and standards dealing with Personally Identifiable Information (PII). This includes helping develop and implement non-technical safeguards in respect to Protected Health Information (PHI) as well as other proprietary and sensitive information. The role also involves assisting with the development and maintenance of privacy policies and procedures, and helping to assure policies and procedures related to the privacy of information are being followed. The Privacy Analyst will also be responsible for reporting metrics related to information privacy, and identifying, investigating, reporting and resolving privacy violations with the highest degree of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism. The role requires maintaining and helping to further build the Information Privacy Program in a way that ensures absolute integrity of investigation results in a way that reflects true and accurate analysis. Additionally, the Privacy Analyst will provide professional assistance to appropriate personnel and clients regarding the privacy of data at CCHCS.

Requirements

  • minimum of two years of experience directly related to HIPAA and HITECH privacy rules or related compliance areas
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent education
  • a minimum of two years of health care compliance experience
  • excellent written and verbal communication and management skills
  • ability to multi-task
  • high level of discretion due to the nature of privacy issues
  • must maintain primary residence within the state of Texas

Nice To Haves

  • Current CHPC certification preferred
  • If not currently certified, then CHPC must be attained within 24 months of employment

Responsibilities
