About The Position

Working under the direction of Devoted Health’s Privacy Officer, the Privacy Analyst will be instrumental in assisting with a variety of tasks as the Company grows in terms of markets, products, and service offerings. This position requires a flexible and dependable team player, who will work proactively in a rapidly growing company to increase the maturity of the privacy program and to comply with the changing regulatory landscape.

Requirements

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey legal concepts to internal, non-legal stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal considerations are integrated into business decisions.
  • Experience with technical and data-driven insights.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 years experience with healthcare legal or compliance operations, particularly HIPAA.
  • Certification in healthcare privacy or ability to obtain such in designated time frame.
  • Interested in exploring AI and automation to modernize privacy workflows and identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an independent resource to operational teams for privacy issues in furtherance of our company core value to be a paragon of hypercompliance with the letter and spirit of the law.
  • Create and maintain education, training, and guidance materials for the Company’s workforce and other stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain forms, tip sheets, policies, or other documents that are needed to comply with investigations, applicable regulations, or standards.
  • Ensure education is delivered as needed and in accordance with a developed calendar of scheduled training.
  • Develop and implement reporting tools at the behest of the Privacy Officer.
  • Organize the documentation of the Privacy Team to ensure maximum effectiveness, such as maintaining logs that can be used to track key metrics.
  • Regularly conduct audits of the privacy program in accordance with goals and objectives set by the Privacy Officer.
  • Create audit reports of findings including independent recommendations for mitigation and corrective action.
  • Review existing policies and create new policies as necessary to support the goals of the Privacy program.
  • Support the ongoing development of the privacy program risk framework and its related activities for the organization.
  • Research, monitor, and analyze changes in current and pending industry privacy standards and changes to federal and state privacy laws and regulations, including by the Department of Health and Human Services (“DHHS”) Office for Civil Rights (“OCR”) and other applicable federal and state government bodies.
  • Will also cross train to be able to perform other functions within the privacy team, such as investigation and management of privacy incidents and legal document review for authorized representatives.
