Requirements

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
• CMA, or RMA or three (3) to seven (7) years related experience.
• Understanding and experience with electronic medical records
• Great communicator, with exceptional writing and verbal skills
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements, working knowledge of medical business office procedures and basic accounting.
• Detailed understanding of ICD-9 and CPT.
• Possess insight into reimbursement and claims procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Proficient in EMR
• Two (2) to Four (4) years equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that patients receive the medication that requires pre-authorizations from insurance carriers.
• Receiving prescriptions.
• Addressing and rectifying rejected claims.
• Conducting necessary third party authorization requests.
