Requirements

2-5 Years medical office experience required
Clinical knowledge required

Nice To Haves

Scheduling experience helpful but not required
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work as a team as well as individually
Ability to multitask and prioritize

Responsibilities

Process clearance requests, including requesting them from other specialty offices and reviewing received clearances for discrepancies, following up with the provider as needed.
Receive and process prior authorization requests for procedures.
Notify appropriate staff when an authorization is approved and processed.
Handle discrepancies when a prior authorization is denied.
Receive and process prior authorization requests for Radiology.
Contact patients to schedule radiology tests.
Notify appropriate staff when a radiology authorization is approved and processed.
Handle discrepancies when a radiology prior authorization is denied.
