Taylor Communications is seeking a Press Operator to run and maintain printing equipment for high-quality labels and printed materials. This role involves setting up press jobs, monitoring quality, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently to meet production schedules and quality standards. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Requirements

  • Mechanical and technical skills or aptitude
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to read a ruler and calculate label dimensions for stock optimization
  • Ability to operate equipment to proficiency as measured by production and quality standards
  • Ability to understand verbal and written work order instructions
  • Ability to communicate professionally
  • Strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in Print
  • Experience in a production-related environment

Responsibilities

  • Carry out accurately and precisely detailed instructions from job orders; identify potential errors or problems and take prompt corrective action
  • Set up and adjust press equipment for job runs to meet specifications
  • Monitor product quality during job runs and verify detail against specifications; take corrective action as needed
  • Monitor equipment during job runs and remain alert to mechanical issues; refer issues to maintenance as necessary
  • Initiate start-up and operation of jobs in alignment with the production schedule
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and upkeep
  • Meet standards for output, waste, and spoilage
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace for efficient shift changeovers
  • Complete all related logs and paperwork accurately
