Flowly Solutions is seeking a skilled Printing Press Operator to join our growing print manufacturing operations in Richmond, California. In this role, you will operate production equipment, set up press and finishing machinery, and ensure top-tier quality across custom print runs. If you have mechanical aptitude, experience with commercial press operations, and a passion for precision manufacturing, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

  • Prior experience operating commercial printing presses, bindery equipment, or high-volume print production machinery.
  • Practical knowledge of press mechanics, foil stamping, embossing dies, specialty papers, adhesives, or paper converting processes.
  • Ability to read complex job orders, apply precise measurement skills, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail with a track record of maintaining high quality standards and minimizing scrap/waste.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts at our Richmond facility.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk throughout your shift, perform repetitive hand-arm movements, and safely move materials weighing up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, calibrate, and run commercial press and print-finishing machinery according to work orders, job tickets, and approved production samples.
  • Execute specialty finishing processes including foil stamping with dies, embossing, debossing, and custom paper surface treatments.
  • Prepare and process various substrates, book board, specialty cover materials, leathers, and adhesives with precise alignment, tension, and fit.
  • Perform skilled assembly, turned-edge box creation, collating, folding, book construction, and component repair as needed.
  • Monitor active print and finishing runs continuously to verify registration, dimensions, adhesion, quantity, and overall visual appearance, identifying and resolving defects immediately.
  • Interpret project specifications to organize tooling, dies, paper stock, and materials before starting each job run.
  • Perform operator-level maintenance, maintain clean production areas, and strictly follow equipment safety procedures and required PPE guidelines.
  • Log completion metrics, document job tickets accurately, and stage finished goods for final delivery or shipping.
