About The Position

Northwestern State University is currently seeking a skilled Printing Master Operator to join our University Printing Services. This position operates and maintains offset printing press and finishing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials supporting university operations, academic departments, and campus communications. University Printing Services provides timely, cost-effective, high-quality printing solutions that support the university’s academic, administrative, and outreach missions by helping departments communicate effectively while maintaining consistent institutional branding.

Requirements

• Three years of experience in printing operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and operates offset presses (A, B, Dick 350 and 360), producing invitations, envelopes, letterhead, postcards, NCR forms, and other printed materials.
• Shoots negatives, mixes chemicals for developing, and strips/burns metal offset plates for print production.
• Collates, staples, folds, trims, punches, and binds finished materials, checking each job for accuracy against instructions.
• Runs finishing equipment including folders, perforators, laminators, drills, and industrial paper cutters.
• Assists customers with drop-off/pickup of print orders.
