About The Position

Nesco Resource is looking for a qualified Printer Operator for a 12-hour night shift in Hickory, NC. The hours are a 2/2/3 rotating shift from 7pm to 7am. The pay is $18.00 per hour. The Printer Operator is responsible for assisting in any manner possible to meet customer requirements, setting up the printer according to specifications, manufacturing according to customer requirements and product specifications, testing material, doffing from the machine, completing documentation, cleaning and maintaining the printers and surrounding area, and alerting supervisors of any non-conformances. The role also involves completing changeovers for the next order and conducting turnovers with previous and following shifts. Quality assurance is key, requiring active participation in problem elimination through root cause identification and corrective action. Safety is also paramount.

Responsibilities

Assist in any manner possible to meet customer (internal and external) requirements.
Consult the work order and set up sheet to determine daily requirements for production.
Set up printer according to specifications, using caution in proper selection of print dies.
Manufacture according to customer requirements and product specifications.
Test material and record results as required.
Doff from machine when cycle ends.
Complete all documentation required for machine operation.
Clean and maintain the printers, dies, numbering heads, and area.
Remove ink from anywhere else other than the ink well and on the dies and number heads.
Alert Supervisor or designee of any non-conformances.
Complete changeover for next order.
Conduct turnover with previous and following shift.
Ensure requirements are met during manufacturing.
Actively participate in elimination of problems through identification of root cause and corrective action.
