About The Position

Novolex is hiring a Printer Operator in Moorhead, Minnesota, for a night shift. The role operates production machines safely and consistently while meeting standards for waste, quality, efficiency, and utilization. The operator troubleshoots machine issues, makes adjustments to correct defects, supports less experienced personnel, and completes end-of-shift production and time records. The position requires attention to housekeeping, standard work, and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and effective written and verbal communication.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Detailed record keeping at prescribed intervals.
• Analytical skills and math skills, including using calculators to determine and record production data.
• Basic troubleshooting skills to resolve minor machine-operation issues.
• Understanding of production measurement tools such as levels.
• Knowledge of product quality standards.
• Knowledge of the principles of thermoforming machines.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines safely and consistently at or above standard levels for waste, quality, efficiency, and utilization.
• Troubleshoot, identify, and correct machine-related problems by properly adjusting machine components.
• Provide innovative solutions to production issues.
• Support and guide less experienced personnel.
• Complete end-of-shift paperwork recording crewing time, machine time, and production quantities.
• Inspect products for defects and adjust machines to correct their causes.
• Follow housekeeping, standard work, and safety guidelines.
