Requirements

  • One (1) year experience performing routine maintenance on mechanical or printing equipment, or comparable experience/training (Level 1)
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, including knowledge of machines and tools (Level 1)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) license (Level 1)
  • Ability to read basic manuals, blueprints, or schematics (Level 1)
  • Proficiency in English for training, safety, and communication (Level 1)
  • Three (3) years’ experience performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of print or industrial equipment (Level 2)
  • Proficiency with hand-tools and power-tools (Level 2)
  • Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting moderately complex problems (Level 2)
  • Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and temperature/pressure gauges (Level 2)
  • Experience reading manuals, blueprints, and schematics (Level 2)
  • Experience with automated controls, test equipment, and software (Level 2)
  • Ability to operate PIT, hoists, and cranes (Level 2)
  • Five (5) years’ experience performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of industrial print equipment (Level 3)
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for complex machinery (Level 3)
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and temperature/pressure instrumentation (Level 3)
  • Root cause analysis skills to identify and resolve recurring issues (Level 3)
  • Basic electrical knowledge, including wiring and troubleshooting (Level 3)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and modifying basic reports and spreadsheets (Level 3)
  • Experience operating test equipment and automated systems (Level 3)

Responsibilities

  • Install, diagnose, analyze, maintain, modify, repair and/or rebuild a variety of plant and facility equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment to detect and prevent problems to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly and operate efficiently
  • Assist production personnel in change-over and set-ups
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas or to install new or repaired parts
