About The Position

Avery Dennison Corporation is seeking a Digital Printing Press Operator experienced with the HP Indigo Series, preferably the IQHD - HP1. This role is responsible for interpreting order specifications, setting up and maintaining equipment, following operational procedures to ensure quality and productivity standards are met, and managing inventory of supplies. The operator will also be involved in quality control, raw material usage, autonomous maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives like ELS training and Kaizen events. Safety consciousness and adherence to PPE guidelines are essential. Teamwork and support for colleagues are also key aspects of this role, along with assisting in other job functions as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or technical degree (manufacturing, electromechanics, mechatronics, or related field preferred)
Experience operating industrial machinery or technical equipment
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a structured environment
Basic mechanical and/or technical aptitude
Willingness and availability to complete HP certification training

Nice To Haves

Experience on the HP Indigo Series - Preferably IQHD - HP1
Manufacturing machine operator
Junior maintenance or technical support technician
Printing, digital printing, or graphic arts operator, special process operator (coating, laminating, welding, etc.)
Entry-level technical graduate with hands-on shop-floor experience

Responsibilities

Interprets order specifications, set-ups and/or special instructions and any other specification.
Responsible for the proper care and general maintenance of all tools, gauges and equipment used. Responsible for routine equipment/fixture inspection. Reports repair/replacement needs to supervision.
Follows Digital printing operational procedures in order to guarantee operational processes are completed in determined time.
Work in process revision and follow up.
Quality processes follow up to minimize process variation to meet defined standards.
Ensure productivity and quality standards for assigned jobs.
Fill correctly and timely Quality documentation.
Productivity HrxHr reports assurance.
Inventory control and follow up for supplies needed in order to ensure production process.
Correct and efficient use of raw materials available for each job.
Ensure autonomous maintenance routines are completed meeting requirements.
Participates in ELS training and Kaizen events as appropriate for department.
Participates in 5S within department/group and assists other areas as required.
Based on business need, assists/ supports in other job functions within process or other company processes within scope and ability.
Must be safety conscious and follow established PPE.
As a member of a production support team; trains, assists, and supports other team members in problem solving and meeting department goals.
Continuously reviews current processes and searches out improvement methods to improve product/process quality, reduce waste, rework, and unnecessary work that adds no value to the work or process.
