Phoenix Color, a company of Lakeside Book As our Maintenance Mechanic, you will: Work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks; while following all safety and quality control standards.

Requirements

  • State or Government issued Driver’s License
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions
  • High levels of attention to detail
  • Ability to work as a team and independently
  • 2 Years’ machine repair and maintenance experience-preferably in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at high elevations, carry up to 60lbs, and stand for 12 hours
  • Must be able to work in varying conditions
  • Ability to kneel, bend and reach for extended periods of time
  • May be exposed to controlled chemical mists or vapors

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge in Relay Logic preferred
  • Technical training with a concentration in machine mechanics strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair and maintain plant machinery and production equipment such as valves, conveyors, compressors, pumps, pneumatic hydraulics, boilers, replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, and motor starters etc.
  • Enter work orders in the department software tracking program
  • Responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial or commercial electrical systems and equipment
  • Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments
  • Work on facilities tasks as needed
  • Open availability to be ‘called in’ to work for emergencies or after hours projects
  • Drive company vehicles as needed
  • All other duties as assigned
