Requirements

Print & Mail Production Background Familiarity with print workflows, mail piece formats (letters, flats, postcards), and USPS postal regulations.
Machine Operation Experience setting up and running high-speed finishing equipment (inserters, folders, cutters, stackers, unwinders, stitchers, binders).
Mechanical Aptitude Ability to troubleshoot jams, misfeeds, or alignment issues. Operators often adjust rollers, knives, perforators, or sensors on the fly.
Quality Control Checking for print defects, alignment, correct collation, and address readability. Operators must ensure mail pieces meet postal automation standards.
High School Diploma or GED required
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to document regular activities and e-mail correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

Operating and setting up Tecnau & Hunkeler finishing lines and traditional cutters and folders in bindery.
Enter data into ERP system to monitoring overall performance, efficiency, and quality.
Perform equipment start-up, shut-down and preventive maintenance.
Sample and monitor product quality and making modifications as needed.
Troubleshoot finishing line performance and quality problems, correcting and stabilizing performance as they occur.
Replenish materials ongoing as materials are depleted.
Other related duties as assigned by management.
