About The Position

Thysse is a third-generation, family-owned commercial printer and brand experience provider located in Oregon, WI. Our facility employs over 100 individuals dedicated to delivering exceptional service and project outcomes for national brands. We are seeking quality-minded individuals who are eager to learn a new trade, work with their hands, and continuously develop their skills. The Print Finishing Apprentice position is responsible for operating equipment to execute customer projects with excellence and assisting with custom-finishing operations as needed. This is a 1st shift position, Monday - Friday, 7am - 3pm.

Requirements

  • High school or GED preferred.
  • 1+ years Experience operating machines/equipment.
  • Additional years of education and experience may be substituted for each other, as determined by Human Resources.
  • Possess manual dexterity and is mechanically inclined with ability to trouble shoot.
  • Strong, efficient work ethic that can thrive in a high stress, fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Follow through with responsibilities while following safety rules, processes and best practices.
  • Proven organizational skills with ability to manage deadlines, prioritize workload and make adjustment to meet business needs.
  • Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Possesses basic arithmetic skills and ability to read a ruler.
  • Possesses basic computer/data entry skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekend work as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and run equipment to produce quality results.
  • Complete work in a timely manner as defined by production schedules.
  • Understand requirements and ensure finished work effectively drives down stream processes.
  • Accountability for the quality of worked produced.
  • Recognize errors quickly and ensure completed work meets our quality standards.
  • Assist with hand-finishing projects as needed.
