About The Position

HP’s vision and promise is to engineer experiences that amaze. With the heart, creativity, and energy of a startup—and the scale, rigor, and reach of a Fortune 100 company—we continue to deliver innovative technologies that build on HP’s legacy and serve millions of customers globally. The Category Management team within the HP.com Store exists to define and drive high‑value Print Products, Supplies, Services, and Solutions across the digital storefront. We value collaboration, ingenuity, analytical rigor, and a bias for action. Our work directly impacts revenue, margin, inventory health, and customer experience across HP’s Print portfolio. Role Overview As a Print Category Product Manager, you are accountable for managing the 4 Ps (Product, Price, Promotion, Place) for assigned Print categories (e.g., printers, supplies, subscriptions, services) on HP.com. This role operates in a highly cross‑functional environment and requires strong business judgment to balance growth, margin, inventory efficiency, and customer experience. You will work on complex, ambiguous problems requiring in‑depth analysis across pricing, demand signals, supply constraints, and lifecycle stages. You will lead and influence initiatives across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and regional stakeholders—often without direct authority—while exercising significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and frameworks.

Requirements

  • Four‑year or Graduate Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or another related discipline, or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Strong knowledge of Print products, supplies, services, and customer workflows, with the ability to translate insights into commercial actions.
  • Excellent business acumen, with a deep understanding of eCommerce and digital customer experiences.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority, navigating complex cross‑functional environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with performance data, forecasts, and financial tradeoffs.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including executive‑ready storytelling.
  • Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting across functions.

Responsibilities

  • Own end‑to‑end Print category strategy on HP.com, aligning Product assortment, Pricing, Promotions, and Digital placement to achieve revenue, margin, and inventory objectives.
  • Act as the Print category subject matter expert, deeply understanding customer use cases, attach behavior (e.g., supplies, subscriptions), and competitive dynamics.
  • Lead new Print product and program introductions (hardware, supplies, services) to ensure launch readiness across pricing, supply, site experience, and go‑to‑market execution.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to manage product transitions and obsolescence, minimizing E&O risk while sustaining customer demand.
  • Define and execute pricing strategy for Print categories, including list price positioning, promotional guardrails, and ongoing pricing actions.
  • Monitor performance and adjust pricing to respond to demand shifts, competitive dynamics, supply constraints, and margin targets.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Regional teams to shape and influence demand, translating insights into category‑level actions.
  • Influence internal and external partners, including third parties, to enhance Print solutions and customer value propositions.
  • Drive Print inventory strategy, balancing availability, cash efficiency, and customer experience in partnership with Supply Chain and Planning teams.
  • Apply data‑driven analysis to resolve gaps between forecast, supply commitments, and actual performance.
