The Raytheon team is looking for a Product Owner (PO) for an agile team focused on a Modeling and Simulation development program for the Missile Defense Agency.

Requirements

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Experience in developing systems and applications using an object-oriented (OO) programming language (in particular, C++).
Experience in a Unix/Linux operating system.
Experience with data structures, software design principles, and coding algorithms, particularly in high-concurrency and distributed systems.
Experience leading or managing a team.
Active Secret Security Clearance (DoD).

Nice To Haves

Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user requirements
Prior experience with Radar Modeling and Simulation and/or Missile Defense programs
Ability to understand radar systems technology in the areas of radar design and analysis, and systems engineering development
Experience with Shell Scripting (tcsh, csh, bash), Python scripting, software development tools like Git, and software debuggers
Certified or Registered Product Owner.
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
Knowledge of Earned Value Management principles and metrics
Experience in OO languages such as Java, C#, and Ada.
Execution of technical, cost and schedule performance.

Responsibilities

Design, prototyping, software development, integration, test and analysis of new or enhanced system capabilities
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code for performance and efficiency in complex environments.
Write and maintain comprehensive documentation for software applications, including system architecture and design specifications.
Participate in product reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
Build the team’s abilities, provide technical direction and be able to work with both internal and external customers.
Support proposal efforts in support of new business and have knowledge of the financial status and planning for the team.
Execution of a subset of the engineering scope for the Radar Development Contract Modeling and Simulation Program.
Management, coordination, and execution of the technical, cost and schedule for their team.
Task planning to create milestones and schedules, tracking earned value and managing competing priorities.
